DermResearch is a leading dermatology research center in the United States, specializing in paid research studies helping to find treatments for a variety of skin conditions. When you visit the Derm Research websites at www.getinastudy.com or www.driresearchsite.com (the “Website” or “Site”), you can review available studies, sign up for our newsletter, contact us, register for a study, and access certain features of the Site (the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy covers how the Site collects, uses, retains, disposes of and discloses Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) we collect online. PII includes information about you that is personally identifying such as your name, email address, and phone number and which is not otherwise publicly available. PII may include other types of information depending on the legal definition that applies in your physical location. Agreement
By using this Site or by providing PII to DermResearch, you accept and hereby consent to our collection, use, retention, and disclosure of your PII in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you provide your email address, you consent to receive promotional emails from us. If you provide a mobile phone number, you consent to receive promotional text messages from us. Information Collection and Use; Choice and Consent
You may browse the Site without providing any PII, although your IP address will be collected.
If you register with us, we collect your email address.
If you participate in a study. we collect your email address, first name, last name, phone number, study of interest, how you heard about our study, date of birth, sex and appointment history.
For some studies, you will be able to email or text us a photo in order for our investigators to determine if you have the right skin condition and severity to qualify for a screening visit. If so, we will schedule a screening visit in our office. All photos sent to us will be destroyed/deleted immediately upon review by the investigator. A record that you sent a photo will be kept, but all photos will be destroyed.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address in order to provide you with the newsletter. If you subscribe to receive new study updates, we will collect your email address in order to provide you with this information. If you contact us for information, we collect your name and email address so we can respond to you.
If you wish to apply for a job with us, we will collect your email address, and your resume and cover letter, including PII that may be in your resume and cover letter. We use this information to assess your qualifications and to contact you for further information if necessary.
In sum, DermResearch uses your PII to:
- Communicate with you;
- Create de-identified analytical information;
- Reply to your request for information or comments;
- Monitor your usage of the Site;
- Send you promotional information about DermResearch.
When we collect your email address or phone number, your information will be added to our promotional mailing list and we will send you our email newsletter and other promotional information and updates about DermResearch by email and/or text message. You may unsubscribe from any of our emails by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email you receive from us and you may unsubscribe by texting “STOP” to our text messages.
Cookies And Other Technologies

Analytics
We also maintain standard web logs for analytics purposes that record data about all visitors who use this Site. We will disclose your information in response to valid legal process, for example, in response to a court order, a subpoena or other legal request for information, and/or to comply with applicable legal and regulatory reporting requirements.
